Beating buckets with branches from a nearby forest at the age of 3, it became quite clear that Berry would pursue a carreer in music.
At an early age he started taking drum lessons and thought himself to play piano and (bass)guitar.

His interest in various kinds of music brought him the capacity to adapt to all kinds of musical situations. It led to Berry being musical director, arranger, and conductor of a wide spread of different bands, acts and musical groups.
